Creative writting

Listening to love songs makes me feel like I’m floating on a cloud, free from the weight of the world. It’s a feeling of peace, happiness, and for the most part, being wanted. I’ve listened to countless love songs, but none have impacted me quite like In Your Arms by Illenium x Ambassadors. This song touches something deep inside, making me believe in love again.

It takes me back to a time when love was pure. Lovers would go to war for each other, and women would vow celibacy while their partners were away. That was when love truly meant something—people loved one person, and betrayal was never an option. They wrote love letters, devoted themselves entirely, and were content with just one person. In Your Arms perfectly captures that kind of love. If someone wrote those lyrics to me, I’d marry them and never look at another soul again. I’d do right by them, no questions asked. I’d love them even if they were a worm. Yes, baby, I’d love you just the same.

When the song begins, he describes her as perfect, comparing her to the world’s idealized beauty. He sets aside his ego, showing her why she’s the best thing he’s ever encountered. He believes in her, without reservation.

What I love about this song is that it’s not just about love. The song tells the story of their love from beginning to end, all the way to death. The singer says he wants to lie next to the girl from his hometown, satisfied with their love even though they never left. To them, their love is enough, and their shared life together is like having experienced the whole world.

It’s not even just about the melody or the beats—it’s about the raw emotion embedded in the lyrics. The song’s simplicity and sincerity invite you in, almost as if begging you to believe in their love. These aren’t just words; they’re real emotions bleeding through every note, touching the listeners’ hearts.

In Your Arms is perfection. Maybe it’s the hopeless romantic in me, but I long for love songs that are free from drama, just pure vibes and peace. I also love it because it’s such a contrast to the messiness of today’s dating scene. Relationships are often games now—revenge, manipulation, and avoidance of commitment. People are afraid to open up, to truly connect, because their egos might get hurt. It’s a sad reality. But this song—this love—reminds me that there’s still hope for something genuine.

StoryBoard

This storyboard tells the story of a person who listens to a love song and recalls past emotions and memories. The story begins with the character playing music in a quiet room, holding an old photograph and reminiscing about moments spent with a lover or family member. As the music plays, the character becomes immersed in memories and longing, walking to the window and gazing outside, feeling a sense of solitude and emotional fluctuation. In the end, as the music fades away, the character finds inner peace and healing through the music, and the story concludes.
